The National Association of Independent Travel Agencies-Philippines, Inc. or NAITAS is the biggest and the largest travel association in the Philippines with more than 1,000 members and 17 chapters scattered nationwide.

NAITAS members are all strong marketing agents and produces 65% of outbound air tickets and 70% of domestic air tickets being issued from all over the country. It also features top inbound players specializing in different markets. It is a very business oriented organization which started the “Travel Market Exchange” in all its general membership meetings that provided actual buying and selling opportunity between the agents and the suppliers.

It is also very active in national issues that affect the tourism industry. It provides intelligent seminars and educational programs to all its members. It created the very first travel cooperative in the whole world, the Travel Cooperative of the Philippines. It is also the organizer of the only tourism trade fair in the Philippines which is the “Philippine International Tourism Fair” and the very successful tourism consumer fair, the “North Philippines International Tourism Fair.”

NAITAS took the initiative in introducing medical and wellness tourism in the Philippines more than 3 years ago, organized seminars on the medical tourism product all over the country, established working partnership with the top hospitals and spas in the Philippines, participated in international medical congress like the World Health Tourism Congress, and promoted medical tourism product and services in almost all travel fairs and road shows led by the Department of Tourism all over the world. NAITAS is recognized in the international tourism community and it is considered as the leader in developing better business opportunities in the Philippine Travel and Tourism Industry.
